The West Cork Bar Association exists to promote the welfare of its members who are West Cork solicitors. The Association is a representative body and not regulatory. The Association provides seminars for its members in order to complete the required Continuing Professional Development study.
We make independent submissions on behalf of the rural practitioners of Cork County, and lobby our local representatives on issues of relevance to practice and to our clients.
“Without fear of contradiction he would say that their little Bar Association of West Cork was second to none in Ireland, and that was because Mr. Wolfe had set a standard for them to which they tried to live up to”
Comments attributed to P.J. O’Driscoll, Solicitor, Bandon, referring to the appointment of JT Wolfe Solicitor to the Presidency of the Incorporated Law Society on the 18th January 1941.
